The Incident!!!!

Arrived at work and greeted with tape?
Blue & White what a state.
DO NOT cross is all it said
The police were here, there not in bed.

Sun is shining not a cloud in the sky.
The earth is parched, cracked and dry!

Sun is shining not a cloud in the sky.
The grass is brown,it's going to die!

Clouds are gathering, the wind is up.
The smell of rain! NO it's a hiccup?

One day soon the rain will come?
It will make my life easier and my work is done.

Home alone!

Knife fork spoon plate and cup.
Sat here looking down,or maybe up!
No one here to have a moan.
Because I'm sat "Home Alone"

Diet yogurt,salad and fruit.
A slice of ginger straight off the root.
Into the water see it swirl.
Shimmer and glinting like a pearl.

Not long left till the peace is broken.
Home from the cinema NOT a word spoken.
That's his evening,home work done.
First one home,that's my son.

Wife's on her way, good meal had
Catch up with friends I'm ever so glad.
She's had a rough time these last few months.
The world and the doctors told her a few truths!!

All safe and sound, door shut tight.
Everyone home and the time is right.
Just answered the phone, now time for bed.
I was "Home Alone" but nothing was said?

The "Magician" (On and off the green!)

He placed that ball,he swung that club.
Off in to the distance.
You knew it would!

A magician by nature,a man with a cause
This true,true statesman
Didn't even pause!

He rose to stardomm
Made many great friends
But his family and golf were there to the end.

Seve,we'll miss you
You've swung that last club
Rest in peace in "Heaven Above"

Henry the "Champ"

He was called today by the man above!
A boxing giant with plenty of love.
Fighting like a tiger when in the ring.
An English "Champ" he was the king.

With a body of steel and a wit so sharp.
A fist of iron that made it's mark!
Out of his corner he walked with pride
He was a proud, proud man deep down inside.

A man called Clay called his bluff!
Back in the 60s - he was tough.
But "Henry's Hammer" did it's job.
And Mr  Clay, well "Henry" was robbed!!

A great career was had by our man.
He became our hero,a boxer with a plan.
His fighting days were long and hard
Bloodied battered and often scared.

We thank you Henry - with all our heart
A patriotic sportsman that gave us a start!
A start to be English,to be driven and strong.
We thank you "Henry" you were not wrong.
